Esther Louise Hite, age 91, of Newark, passed away on May 19, 2024. Esther was born on September 4, 1932, to the late Noble H. and Pearl (Gearhart) McArtor, in Reform, Ohio.

She was fond of her cattle, cats, and birds. Esther enjoyed gardening and knitting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (Mose) Nethers, Mark (Brenda) Hite, Kevin (Ann) Hite, Stephen Hite; grandchildren, Heath (Sunny), Travis (Lisa), Levi (Holly), Chris (Emily) Sarah (Jason), Ryan (Kelsey), Paul (Rachell), Ryan (Andrea), Cody (Alyssa), Dylan; great grandchildren, Colton, Logan, Ashley, Kaydence, Jodee, Keona, Leeah, Carma, Leo, Halen, Delilah, Anna, Noah, Colton, Reid, Emily, Jack, Talia; and brother, Dale (Linda) McArtor; son-in-law, Terry Lake; and brother-in-law, Mike Krumlauf.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Thomas E. Hite; daughter, Dianne Lake; siblings, Dorothy Smith, Wayne McArtor, Irene Boyd, Paul McArtor, Evelyn Whitt, and Carol Sue McArtor.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5 – 8 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Her service will follow on Friday, at 11 AM, with Rev. Cheryl Evans officiating. The burial will take place in Smith Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Esther's name to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio.
