Fern L. Fletcher, age 87, of Newark, passed away on April 4, 2024 surrounded by her family. Fern was born on December 28, 1936, to the late Clarence A. and Mary

A. (Schaffer) Derrenberger, in Loudonville Ohio.

She was an avid collector of many things and enjoyed visiting Ohio's Amish country with her late Husband. She spent the last ten years residing at the Courtyard at Newark.

Fern is survived by her children, Larry (Michi- Ann) Fletcher, Paula (Jayson) Richey, Julia (Scott) King; grandchildren, Ashlynn Richey, Kenneth Fletcher, Daniel Arruda (Kelly), great grandchildren Kali Arruda, Kyndal Arruda and great grandson Jett Berger.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Fletcher; grandson, Benjamin Richey; and one sister.

There will be no services held at this time. The family will gather at a later time to have a celebration of life.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Courtyard at Newark who gave her very loving care. They would also like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio for providing incredibly compassionate care for her the last three weeks of her life.
