Finis "Dick" E. Holbrook, age 84, of Croton, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. He was born in Davy, WV on June 20, 1941, to the late Finis and Megan (Hylton) Holbrook.

Dick touched many lives over the years. He worked in school bus transportation, as well as building and grounds management for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and racing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Norma (Lyall) Holbrook; children, Jackie (Rob) Duston, Dick (Missi) Holbrook, Larry (Tonya) Holbrook, and Shelly (Chad) Litten; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Burtis Clark and Kenny (Betty) Holbrook; many special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, "Little" Larry Holbrook and Alex McBride.

Visitation will take place from 4-7 pm Wednesday, December 17, 2025, and 11 am-12 pm Thursday, December 18, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st. St. Newark, Ohio 43055. A 12 pm funeral service will be held Thursday after visitation followed immediately by a graveside service at Newark Memorial Gardens, Chaplain Brian Humphreys officiating.
