Flora Marlene Ayers Walker, age 68, of Newark, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on July 22, 1957, in Newark, she was the beloved daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Ayers.

A proud graduate of Newark High School and the Licking County Joint Vocational School Class of 1976, Flora was a hardworking woman dedicated to her community. She was a familiar face to many, having retired after years of service at Big Bear and The Basket Shoppe. In her retirement, she found great joy in her "side hustle," sharing her love of fashion as a Paparazzi Jewelry consultant.

In June 1978, she married the love of her life, Harry Walker of Newark. Together, they built a life centered on family. Flora was known for her vibrant spirit, her love of butterflies, and her unwavering devotion to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Harry Walker; three daughters, Marlene (Brian) Stadler of Heath, Krista (Jerry) Walker of Newark, and Jenny (Russ) Stachler of Nashport; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Stadler, Raven (Jade) Glover, Cynthia Johnson, Sadie Stadler, Lily Stachler, and Leea Stachler; brothers, Patrick (Kim) Ayers and Roger Ayers, both of Heath; and her special niece, Darlena (Joseph) Yates-McGuire of Newark.

Flora was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Margaret Ayers; her brothers, David Grigsby, Samuel Grigsby, and James Grigsby; and her sister, Faith Grigsby.

Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Christian Apostolic Church, 22 N. 23rd St., Newark, OH. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church.
