Floyd David Lahmon, age 73, of Newark, passed away on June 19, 2024. Floyd was born on January 21, 1951, to the late Floyd Cary and Mary Isabell (Hinton) Lahmon, in Newark, Ohio.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.  Floyd was a car enthusiast and loved watching the OSU Buckeyes. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife Kim; children, Mary (Bryan) French, Beth (Justin Schofield) Lahmon, Jared Lahmon, Rachel (Scott Bruah) Lahmon, Rachel (Vance) Lindsay, Tara (Mike Ranalli) Radu; grandchildren, Maddy, Katie and Daryn French, Jory (Christie) Vanmeter, Izzy Hannigan and Reed Fleeger, Javon Hayes, Lexis and Izaak Smith, Kiara and Kaleyah Lindsay; great grandchildren, Birdie and Micah Vanmeter. Also surviving are his siblings, Ronald (Bea) Hinton, Ralph (Linda) Lahmon, Laura (Bob) Meek, Faye (CJ) St. John, George (Jane) Lahmon, Carol (Larry) Tomes; sisters-in-law, Jane Lahmon, Sharon Lahmon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Dick Hinton, Betty (Robert) Messinger, Bob (Linda) Lahmon, Cary (Audrey) Lahmon, Jim Lahmon, Fran (Merle) Cathel, Doris Wolfe, John Lahmon, Bill Lahmon.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 5 - 6 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where his service will immediately follow at 6 PM with Rev. Timothy Hayes.
