Frances "Fran" E. Walz

A Memorial Service for Frances "Fran" E. Walz, 76, of Newark, OH, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with minister Anita Laughery officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Fran passed away March 30, 2025, at her residence.  She was born June 27, 1948, in Columbus, OH to the late Arthur and Ruth (Brown) Welch.

Fran was a shining example of devotion to her family. She was a wonderful mother, dedicated to her family and a selfless person who always put their needs before her own. She had a passion for flowers and enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, David Paul Walz, Sr.; daughter, Carla Walz; son, David Paul Walz, Jr.; sister, Paula Hunt; grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren, and Collin Mitchell, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Walz; sisters, Zona Jane Edgerly, Donna Sue Andrews, and Janet Lester, and brothers-in-law, Kenny Hunt, Charles Andrews, and Robert Edgerly.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
