Frances Eileen (Bruce) Lantz, age 76, formerly of Newark, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Bloomington, IL.  She was born in Newark on September 10, 1948, to the late Thomas Dale and Dorothy Aileen (Wright) Bruce.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Jeff) Wilson; grandchild, Hannah (Isaac) Cotterman; sister Nancy (Thomas) Siegel; brother-in-law, John Schmoll.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Schmoll.

Fran graduated from Northridge High School in 1966.  She most recently worked at W.W.Williams where she was an Administrative Assistant and won the Ring of Excellence award for her exemplary work ethic, service and outstanding attention to detail.  She retired in 2015.  She served in the past as President and secretary for multiple clubs and associations.   She loved traveling, volunteering, and staying well-connected with family and friends.   Skydiving was just one way she embraced life with an adventurous spirit. Perhaps her favorite activity was being a playful, devoted, prayerful Grandma.

Fran had a big heart and she gave sacrificially to those she loved.  She had a joyful sense of humor and greeted everyone with a warm, bright smile.  She loved the Lord and is now in His presence.

Visitation will take place from 9-10:30 am Saturday, October 12, 2024, with a 10:30 am funeral service at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st, St. Newark, Ohio 43055. A graveside service will be held at Fredonia Cemetery immediately following the funeral service, Pastor Tom Pound officiating.
