Frank Elwood Morgan, age 74, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on June 9, 1949, to the late Bernard Forrest and Betty Louise (Stockdale) Morgan.
Frank was a graduate of Newark High School. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Midway as an Aviation Machinist Mate during the Vietnam War, he later retired from Owens Corning after working 40 years as a maintenance welder. Frank never met a stranger, he loved talking to people and taking an interest in their lives. He enjoyed camping, fishing, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially his great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Newark Masonic Lodge Post #97, and a member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church.
Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn E. (Moseley) Morgan; children, Frank C. (Kathy) Morgan and Melissa (Stephen) Walz; grandchildren, Hayley (Josh Gullett) Morgan, Shelby (Dustin) Weaver, Cody (Cheyenne) Morgan, Alex Miller, and Zachary Miller; great-grandchildren, Colton Morgan, Cohen Morgan, and Charlotte Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Morgan; grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 10-11am Monday, December 18, 2023, followed by an 11am Masonic service and funeral at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home 985 N. 21st, St. Newark, Ohio 43055. A graveside service with military honors presented by the Licking County Veterans Alliance will take place at Newark Memorial Gardens immediately after the funeral service, Pastor Mimi Ault officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church Attn: Blessing Bags Fund, P.O. Box 111 Mechanicsburg, OH 43044.
