Franklin Floyd Shook, age 75, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Grant Medical Center. He was born in Fussen, Germany on January 4, 1951, to the late Floyd O. and Elisabeth (Versal) Shook.

Franklin served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the State of Ohio after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his life partner, Vivien Sells-King; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bob (Pam) Shook and Bernie (Jackie) Shook.

An 11 a.m. graveside service with military honors presented by the Licking County Veterans Alliance will take place at Newark Memorial Gardens Monday, March 23, 2026.
