George Edward Cayton, Sr, age 80, of Newark, went home to be with his Lord and Savoir, Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was born in Newark, Ohio on August 22, 1944, to the late Frank and Vida M. (Randall) Cayton.

He is survived by his children, Susan (James Howard) Piper, Elizabeth Shaw, Paul Cayton, and George E. Cayton, Jr,; grandchildren, Jeremy Moran and Jason Cayton; 7 great-grandchildren; special friends, Doris Ross and Junior; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 wives, Annie Booher and Mary Cayton; grandson, James Moran.

In accordance with George's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
