George A. Currens
George A. Currens, age 71 of St. Louisville, gained his angel wings on January 29th, 2024. He was born on Sept 3rd, 1952, in Cincinnati Ohio to Carol Currens. George lived for many years in Columbus Ohio before moving to Greenfield Ohio for a short time. George then moved to Newark Ohio in 1989. In 1996, George moved in with his long-time care giver, Mary Loudermilk. George grew close to Mary whom he lovingly referred to as mom. He also quickly became a cherished member of the Loudermilk family with whom he resided with for nearly 27 years.
George enjoyed being active in the community and participated in many activities with his family such as going to the American Legion, going out to eat at Burger King, listening to music, singing karaoke, going fishing, going on family vacations, and watching westerns with his dad. He also loved to go Bowling and bowled on the Special Olympics team for years. George also loved to ride his tractor around for hours while blaring his favorite country music songs. George was very proud of Mary's young family members whom he saw as his and referred to as "his babies." George enjoyed laughing and smiling while doing Snap Chat filters with his babies. George met the love of his life (Lori)whom he enjoyed going out on date nights with and attending Night to Shine events together for several years. George loved to be social and spend time with others, including with those he met through his association with the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
George was proceeded in death by his mom, Mary Loudermilk in 2023 and longtime girlfriend, Lori in 2018. He is survived by his dad (Cliff Loudermilk), brother (Heath (Julia) Loudermilk) and sister (Laura (Matt) Mohler), his five "babies" (Emily Wallace, Morgan Mohler, Troy Loudermilk, Ryleigh Mohler and Warren Willis) and Heather (Sean) Ferrin.
George 's big smile, love for his family and his sense of humor and laughter will forever be etched in our hearts.
