Gerry J. "Ger" Dush, age 85, of Newark, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home. Gerry was born on June 3, 1939, to the late David Russell and Leah (Alspach) Dush, in Saint Louisville, Ohio.

He married his loving wife of 63 years, Beverly (Robinson). They had a lot of love, happiness, and many wonderful memories of hard work and trying times that made an amazing family. Gerry started working at First National Bank (Bank Ohio), but his love was woodworking and making Grandfather clocks. He had a knack for fixing things, that lead him to self-employment as "Dush Wheel Alignment" in Saint Louisville for over 26 years. Gerry always strived for better things with his wife and tackling many things as a hard worker, but he and his wife were best known for their love for each other and holding hands. He was known for making delicious pies for auctions and making elephant ears, funnel cakes and corndogs for festivals and fairs. He was well known for being a trusted and loved man.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bev; children, Steve (Brenda) Dush, Robin (Jay) Holtz, Dave Dush; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Dush.

Family and friends may call of Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4-7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. His service will follow on Saturday, at 10:30 AM with Pastor Scott England officiating. The burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.
