Due to inclement weather, the graveside service has been rescheduled for Friday February 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

A funeral service for Harmon Dwayne McKee, 80, of Newark, OH, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday January 24, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, where Military Honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Dwayne passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at his residence. He was born May 24, 1945, in Galion, OH, to the late Harmon Dale and Ruth (Wolford) McKee.

Dwayne was a United States Navy veteran who served on the USS Beatty as a machinist during the Vietnam War. Dwayne received the National Defense Service Medal for heroic acts that led to an honorable medical discharge. A master plumber by trade, he was highly educated in his profession and possessed a natural talent for mathematics, a skill that greatly contributed to his success and precision in his work. Known for his outgoing nature, Dwayne seemed to know everyone and was well respected by all who crossed his path. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and playing blackjack.

He is survived by his wife, Diana McKee; daughter Natasha (Phil) Offenbaker, and grandsons, Acen (Audrey) Wickham, Zachary Snyder, and Josh Mattingly; sister, Phyllis (Donald) Lee; nieces, Joni (Glen) Reichenbach, Tara (Marty) Woods, Dina (Jim) Hodnichak, and nephews, Curtis (Toni) Lee and Monte (Jennifer) Fry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce (Dick) Fry.
