Harold D. Quick, 65 of Newark left us peacefully on November 7, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. He was born on April 10, 1959 in Newark, OH to the late Charles E. and Dorothy E. (Ratliff) Quick, Sr.

Harold was a beloved father, grandfather and brother. He worked for Owens Corning and ran a home building crew in Newark and Columbus and was a Beanie Baby broker. He enjoyed playing in Texas hold'em tournaments and attending concerts. He loved sports and coaching his son. He was an avid Ohio State football and Cleveland Indians fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Derek S. (Carol) Quick; daughter, Andrea Queen; grandchildren, Austyn, Alise, Anthony and Andrew; great-grandson, Aven; brother, Charles (Linda) Quick, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Ann (Jim) Hurley, Marsha E. (Todd) Spung and Brenda K. (Steve) Rupe; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 11-1pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Funeral service will be held at 1pm with Pastor Trey Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
