Harry Slagle Miller, 83, of Newark passed away on August 12, 2024 at his residence. He was born on August 21, 1940 in McClure, VA to the late Earl and Alice Miller.

Harry was a member of St. Louisville Freewill Baptist Church. He was a minister and loved preaching and playing bluegrass gospel music.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Linger) Miller; children, Brian R. Miller, Lynn Marie Snedecker, Harry M. Miller and Kathy S. (Brian) Magers; step-children, Steve (Kim) Cottrell and Penny (Don) Apted; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty and Onita; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Miller; brothers and sisters; and step-son, Donald Elkins.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, August 16, 2024 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
