Hattie Lousie Dixon, age 92, of Newark passed away on January 8, 2026, at Licking Memorial Hospital. Hattie was born on March 1, 1933, in Zanesville to the late Edward Thomas and Thelma Gertrude (Cohagan) Withers.
She was a military wife and followed Russell to Washington DC, Enid, Oklahoma; Wrightstown, New Jersey; Tachikawa, Japan; Savannah, Georgia; Glasgow, Montana; Anchorage, Alaska and Mountain Home, Idaho. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Hattie enjoyed sewing, quilting, diamond painting, traveling and doing puzzles.
She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Russell Lee Dixon; children, Jenny Dominguez, Becky Rhodes, Pam Campbell, Diana (Jeff) Irvin, Brian (Candy) Dixon; grandchildren, April, Courtney, Dale, Sara, Jacob, Jesse, Brittni, Dakota, Brooklyn, Dallas; many great grandchildren; sister, Sally Hedges.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Haley Dominguez; brothers, Thom Withers and Paul Withers; sister. Theresa Hennessy; sons-in-law, Donald Rhodes and Kenneth Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 12 - 2 PM and 5 - 7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Her service will be on Tuesday, January 13 at 1 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating, the burial will take place in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
