Henry Louis Anthony, 74 of Mt. Vernon, died unexpectedly Monday, January 15, 2024 at the OSU Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1949 in Elizabeth, PA to the late John E. and Mildred (Belcher) Anthony.

Henry retired as Safety Director from Owens Corning after 38 years. He was a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 387 Newark as well as a member of Heath Eagles. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his grandsons. He was a car enthusiast that liked to drag race at National Trail Raceway. He lived life to the fullest! He was always on the go and enjoyed being outdoors. He cared deeply for his friends and family and would always help if someone was in need. His greatest joy was watching and supporting his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; children, Troy (Kathy) Anthony and Debby (James) Thompson; grandchildren, Devin, Kendall, Wade and Michael; siblings, Carl, Clyde, Millie, Dorothy, Joy, Betty, many loved nieces, nephews and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Chris Renee; and siblings Larry, Clara Mae and Paul.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Henry to the American Cancer Society.
