Ingeborg R. Brown, age 93, of Newark, passed away on March 8, 2026, at her residence. Ingeborg was born on April 13, 1932, in Konstanz, Germany, to the late Friederich Martin and Antonia (Mauz) Haessler.

She was an active member of the Silver Sneakers program at the YMCA and enjoyed staying active and engaged with her community. She loved gardening and took great pride in caring for her plants. A wonderful cook, she delighted in preparing meals for those she loved. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling, creating many special memories along the way.

Ingeborg is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Jim) Harble; grandchildren, Bryan, Thomas and Austin Hickey., Mitchell (Miranda) Harble, Jordan Harble, Tyler (Taylor) Harble; great grandchildren, Collin and Taylor Hickey, Ayden Peters, Abigail Holley, Evelyn, Delilah, and Jesse Harble; and stepbrother, Gerhard Schmied; sister, Hanni Wietzke.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Martin Patrick Hickey; brother, Hugo Haessler; her husbands, Robert E. Hickey and Lonnie R. Brown; and special friend, Rudy Schmidt.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1-2 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where her service will start at 2 pm. A private burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.
