James Earl Bartlett

James Earl Bartlett, age 76, of Newark, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. James was born on March 23, 1949, in Newark, to the late Clyde J. and Evelyn S. (Sines) Bartlett.

He was an avid golfer and a devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.

James is survived by his children, Jeremy Bartlett, Kelly (Bill Knisley) Johnson, Shane Gleckler whom he claimed as his own; grandchildren, Kaitlynn (Hayley Kelso) Johnson, Ryan Johnson; sister Rebecca Hile; and nephew, Justin Hile.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Toni Lynn Bartlett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Licking County Humane Society.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
