James E. Shaw, age 81, of Newark, passed away on December 29, 2023. Jim was born on October 17, 1942, to the late Owen and Lenora  (Hauser) Shaw, in Etna, Ohio.

He was a true family man, loved spending time with family and friends, especially for family get-togethers. Jim was extremely proud of his grandchildren. After retiring from the Newark Air Force Base, he enjoyed fixing antique tractors.

He is survived by his loving children, Theresea (Steve) Turner, Beverly (Chris) Latella, James Jeffery Shaw, Debbie (Larry) Hogue; grandchildren, Regan and Keifer Turner, Forest and Hailey Leas, Alexandra Radabaugh, Olivia, Abbie, Isabel and Luke Hogue; great granddaughter, Maeve Radabaugh; sisters, Sandy Whited and Darlene Merckle.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his wife, Angie "Oneta" Shaw.

A visitation will be held on January 8, 2024, from 4 - 6 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where his service will immediately follow at 6 PM with Pastor Gary Kirkpatrick officiating.
