James H. Hart, 97 of Newark passed away on November 18, 2024, at Altercare Newark North. He was born on December 12, 1926, in Washington CH, OH to the late Alonzo A. and Hattie A. (Johnson) Hart.

Mr. Hart served honorably in the Army Air Force and retired from the Newark Air Station. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Granville. He was a recent graduate of Franklin University. He was a pilot and enjoyed traveling, swimming, music and spending the holidays with his family.

He is survived by sisters-in-law, Mildred Hart and Patricia "Pat" Hart; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, William Hart, Rosemary Hart White, Robert Hart and Shirley Hart Harris.

The family will receive friends from 11-12pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Funeral service will follow at 12pm with Bishop Chris Brower officiating,  with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
