James Albert Horvat, age 86, of Thornville, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. James was born on December 7, 1938, in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Albert A. and Marie E. (McDonald) Horvat.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force; then went on to work at and retired from Boeing after 53 years. James was the local voice you heard on W8WRP Radio for years.

He is survived by his son, Richard Horvat; granddaughter, Faith, spouse and family; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Horvat; daughter, Diane Ervin.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 5 – 7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. His service will take place on Tuesday, at 10:30 AM with Deacon Patrick Wilson officiating. Burial will take place in All Souls Cemetery.
