James "Jimmy" Harold Hockman

James Harold Hockman, age 68, of Newark, passed away on July 25, 2026, at his residence. Jimmy was born on December 25, 1957, in Newark, to Dickie Harold Hockman and Sarah Grace Farrell.

He is survived by his brother, Mark Hockman; aunts, Alice Long and Martha Hughes; uncle, John Foster; niece Linda Hockman and nephew, Caleb Hockman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Hockman; sister-in-law, Heather Hockman; uncles, Gary Long and Wayne Hughes.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4 – 7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. His service will be held on Thursday, at 2 pm with Rev. James Whiteside officiating, burial will take place in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
