James "Doug" Douglas Lannan

A graveside service for James "Doug" Douglas Lannan, 79, of Heath, OH, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans.

Doug passed away March 2, 2026, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born October 20, 1946, in Newark, OH, to the late James William and Alice Anita (Lavery) Lannan.

Doug proudly served his country as a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a life member of the Death Winds Long Rifle Club, where he shared his passion for marksmanship and camaraderie with fellow members. An avid hunter and fisherman, James found his greatest peace in the outdoors. Whether casting a line, tracking game through the woods, or searching the woods for prized mushrooms, he was truly at home in nature.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (Becky) Lannan, Michael Lannan, James Casey (Jennifer) Lannan; brother, Jeffery (Betty) Lannan; sister, Barbara (Scott) Richards; grandchildren, Alexandra (Joe) Millat, Sydney (Austin) Call, Mina Lannan, James Tristan Lannan, and Dorian Lannan; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Claire, Scarlett James, and Abel, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Lannan, and nephew, Bryon Lannan.
