James Chris Zelein

A visitation for James Chris Zelein, 75, of Thornville, OH, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024, at Cornerstone Church of Licking County, 4905 Jacksontown Rd., Heath, OH.

Chris passed away February 6, 2024, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born May 26, 1948, in Columbus, OH, to the late James C. and Verna M. (Weber) Zelein.

Chris was a 1970 graduate of The Ohio State University. He worked for Newark Electro Plating, Inc. He was a member of Cornerstone Church, long time member of Newark Rotary, and Dawes Arboretum where he enjoyed his walks. He was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his wife, Jan (Amon) Zelein; son, Kevin (Nancy) Thompson; daughter, Jill (Jeff) Tubaugh; grandchildren, Addison and John Tubaugh, and brother, Mike (Marsha) Zelein.
