Janice A. Calland, age 84, of Thornville, passed away on September 16, 2025. Janice was born on September 5, 1941, in Columbus, to the late James William Correll and V. Lucille (Swisher) Wolfe.
She was an avid sewer, facilitated Monday women's bible study and enjoyed playing euchre.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Glade W. Calland; children, Cheryl (Jim Gualdiero) Marvin, Debra (Jimmy) Berry, Richard (Suzi) Marvin; grandchildren, Joey (Alicia) Sexton III, Jamey Sexton, Erin (Brian) Schrock, Steffie (David) Patz, James (Brittany) Berry III, Mike Marvin, Marc (Taylor) Marvin, Matty Marvin; 14 great grandchildren; niece, Susan Brooks; nephew, Jeffery (Denise) Brooks; sisters-in-law, Sarah Elizabeth (Danny) Roth, Margaret Ann (Charles) Stout; brother-in-law James (Vicki) Calland.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Lorretta Brooks.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the First United Methodist Church, where her service will follow at 11:30 am with Rev. Barbara Salyers officiating. Burial will take place in Jersey Cemetery at 2:45 pm.
