JC Johnson, age 87, of Newark, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at Altercare North Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Seitz, KY on September 24, 1937, to the late Grover and Pearl (Caldwell) Johnson.

JC proudly served in the US Air Forces. After serving in the Air Force, he was employed at the Newark Air Force Base as well as Farmers WholeSale in Utica, which was owned by his in-laws. He retired from the Newark Air Force Base after 30 years of service. In his retirement JC worked as a field trip school bus driver for Heath, Granville, and the JVS. He was also an avid deer hunter and loved telling hunting stories.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Johnson; 3 sisters and their husbands, and one nephew.

In accordance with JC's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
