Jean Elizabeth Howe

A funeral service for Jean Elizabeth Howe, 91, of Leesburg, FL, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Drew Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Jean passed away February 8, 2026, at her residence. She was born February 2, 1935, in Newark, OH, to the late Marion and Sarah Leona (Vanatta) Timson.

Jean was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Neal Avenue United Methodist Church. Jean and her beloved husband shared a passion for square dancing for more than 45 years, creating lasting friendships and cherished memories along the way. She found joy in traveling, reading, playing solitaire, and watching sports on television, especially golf and the Olympics. She was also a fan of The Lawrence Welk Show and her favorite soap operas. Above all, Jean's greatest love was her grandchildren, who brought immense pride and happiness to her life.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert W. Howe; sons, Jeffrey (Ellen) Howe, Timothy (Margie) Howe, Michael (Vicki) Howe, Gregory (Debbie) Howe, Douglas (Lori) Howe, and Thomas (Darcy) Howe; sister, Bobby (Richard) Baughman; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
