Jefforey L. Woods, age 68, of Buckeye Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024, after a long courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on August 7, 1955, in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late John H. and Bonnie N. Woods.

Jeff grew up in East Columbus and attended Eastmoor High School.  He worked for Schwartz Glass Co. for many years.  Jeff was also the long-time owner of J&P's Antiques in Newark.  Dealers and collectors from across the country traveled to Jeff's shop to purchase his unique country and primitive finds.

He is survived by his sons, William (Laura) Woods and Kevin (Samantha) Woods; sisters, Linda (Melbourne) Peters and Sandra (Robert) Muncy;  6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and beloved cat Rosie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Woods; and sister, Virginia Penn Reesner.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Zion United Church of Christ, 8000 High Point Road, Thornville.  A service will immediately follow at Noon with Rev. Melodie Rezac officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery, 10033 SR 669, Roseville.

Jeff was loved by all who met him.  He will be greatly missed by family and by best friends and caregivers Lisa Sandman, Jeff and Lisa McInturf, Mike Clum and Sharon Benson, Erica and Sam Zerkle, Virginia Marsh and many, many others. He would also want to acknowledge the excellent care he received at The James Cancer Hospital and the fantastic doctors and nurses who fought so hard for him.
