Jeremy Todd McHenry, 52, of Heath, died Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Licking Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. He was born August 15, 1972 in Newark to Les and Kate (Brooks) McHenry.

After graduating from high school, Jeremy worked fixing arcade games and jukeboxes. He then worked as a pizza delivery driver for Donato's. He competed in local pool leagues, enjoyed playing poker and amateur ham radio and loved family get-togethers and cookouts.

He is survived by his mother, Kate McHenry; siblings, Robb McHenry, Beth (Joe) Liff and Rebecca (Will) Cates; nephews, Joe (Amber) McHenry, Andrew (April) McHenry, Trey (Shaina) McHenry, and Benjamin (Tamara) McHenry; nieces, Brooke (Angela) McHenry and Emma Cates; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Avery McHenry; father, Leslie "Les" McHenry; and great niece, Taylor Rene McHenry.

Jeremy made the selfless decision to be an organ and tissue donor. He unselfishly gave to help others live.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeremy to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 12-2pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark where a time for memory sharing will follow at 2:00 pm.
