Jimmy Albert Fike, age 83, of Newark, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at SharonBrooke Assisted Living. He was born in McKeesport, PA on September 29, 1942, to the late Playford and Helen (Davis) Fike.

Jimmy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon, in Florida. He served in ministry at Grace Baptist Deaf Church for many years. He loved going on cruises and traveling with his wife, Marilyn, photography, collecting “country” antiques, tinkering with things around the house, and making people laugh. In his younger years, he enjoyed scuba diving and hunting deer, alligator, and wild boar.

He is survived by his children, Donald (Christine) Henderson, David (Kathy) Henderson, Jona (Ronaldo) Feliciano, David Fike, Jenny (Andrew) Dennis, Stephanie (Jon) Newland, Renee Collins, and Andrew Fike; grandchildren, Desiree Lynn, Donald Paul, Jr., Krystal Rose, Dutch Patrick, Beth (Derek) Jones, Elizabeth (Cameron) McCarthy, Jedidah Dennis, Zachariah Dennis, Andrew Dennis, Megan (James) Peeler, Mia Newland, Shawn Decker, Jr., Joshua Decker, Kaylee Decker, Brianna Collins, Jayden Collins, and Jacob Collins; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alexandra, Emmy, Curtis, Nicolas, Micaiah, Jackson, Zailen, Aniylah, and Leon; great-great-grandchildren, Skylar, Hazel, and Rory; siblings, Carol (Robert) Shawl and Raymond Fike.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Marilyn Lee (Sutton) Fike.

An open house memorial celebration of life honoring Jimmy will take place from 5:30pm-7:30pm Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the David-Shai House, 301 Central PKWY Heath, Ohio 43056.

A 4pm celebration of life with military honors will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church, 10309 Raulerson Ranch BLVD, Tampa, Florida 33637.
