John Todd Gard

A funeral service for John Todd Gard, 58, of Newark, OH, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

John passed away January 22, 2026, at his residence. He was born August 17, 1967, in Zanesville, OH, to the late James and LaDonna (Sims) Gard.

John was a 1985 graduate of West Muskingum High School. He was employed at Owens Corning and previously worked for Tectum for 33 years, as well as Threshold. John was a member of the Elks. He had a deep love for music of all kinds and especially enjoyed supporting local artists. John was also known for his involvement in the music community as the last manager of Eric Moore and The Godz.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. (Astalos) Gard; children, Craig (Jessie Molitoriz) Gard, Kera (Don) Hatcher, Korey (Abi) Tomlinson, and Kameron Tomlinson; brothers, James (Delores) Gard and Jason (Darcie) Gard; grandchildren, John, Talia, Hunter, Zoe, Joseph, and Zevy; nieces, Myndi and Taylor; nephew, Grant; two great-nephews, and his beloved dog, Lucy.
