John "Doug" Goldsmith

John "Doug" Goldsmith, 73, of Newark, OH, passed away December 22, 2025, at his residence. He was born August 25, 1952, in Newark, OH, to the late John M. and Carrie L. (Hoskinson) Goldsmith.

Doug graduated from Newark High School in 1970 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 1974. He spent his career at the Park National Bank Computer Center, from which he retired. Doug had a love for travel.

He is survived by his brother, Steven L. (Deborah) Goldsmith; nieces, Sarah (Chris) Clayton, Rebecca Underwood, and Ashley (Amanda Reinstetle) Goldsmith; great nieces and nephews, Andrew, Lucas, Elsa, Stella, and Luna, and his childhood friend, William Fisher.
