Joshua Andrew Taylor, 19, of Thornville, died Thursday, January 2, 2025 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born March 2, 2005 in Columbus to Andrew R. and Melissa J. (Boehm) Taylor.

Josh graduated from Lakewood High School class of 2023 where he played football, wrestled and ran track. He was a standout athlete on the wrestling team finishing with over 100 career wins. Josh also participated in the Physical Therapy Exercise Science program at C-TEC. He was currently continuing his education and wrestling career at Otterbein University. He studied sports management/education and earned an award for being the most improved wrestler in 2024. Josh enjoyed playing and watching sports, spending time with his friends, especially his girlfriend, and loved being with his family.

He is survived by his mother and father, Melissa and Andy Taylor; brother, Robby (Mia) Taylor; sisters, Allie and Maggie Taylor; girlfriend, Kelsey Morey; uncles, Matt (Jenny) Taylor, Rick Boehm and Jeff Boehm; and great aunts, uncles and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Richard and Ann Taylor; maternal grandparents, Peggy Boehm and Ed Boehm; paternal great grandparents, Bobby and Peggy Taylor and Jeanette Miller; maternal great grandparents, Madelyn and Leo Robinson and Richard and Kathryn Boehm.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 2-6 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., where a memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating.
