A funeral service for Judi Ann Kocher, 69, of Newark will be held at 1:00p.m. Friday July 11th 2025 at Family of Faith Community Church, 975 Mt. Vernon Rd., Newark with Pastor Josh Lawrence officiating. Her burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.

Ms. Kocher, a Licking Valley Elementary School Physical Education teacher passed away early in the morning July 1st, 2025, surrounded by family, at The James Cancer Hospital. She was born July 12th 1955 in Zanesville to JoAnn (Barker) Kocher, and the late Paul Kocher.

She was a follower of Christ and served in women's prison ministry and on a mission trip to Africa. She also coached volleyball and taught swimming lessons.

She is survived by her mother JoAnn (Barker) Kocher, brother Steven (Nola) Kocher of Galloway, brother Sam (Marcy) Kocher of Powell, brother John (Beth) Kocher of Dublin, sister in law Linda (Barb) Kocher of Arcadia FL, 22 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother Paul S. Kocher.

Friends may attend Calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st St. Newark.
