It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judith "Judy" Marlene (Plopper) Shepard, age 77, of Newark, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was born on November 27, 1946, in Rome, NY to the late Franklin and Ruth (White) Plopper.

Judy worked at State Farm in New York. After moving to Newark, Ohio, she worked at ArWebb Office Supplies and Stacy Engle's State Farm Agent's office for many years before retiring in 2015. Judy was known for her outgoing personality, she loved to laugh and lived for all the fun adventures she would have with her BARS girls and gambling at the Moose. She loved camping, golfing, bowling, and drinking wine on the back deck. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing online Bingo, playing cards, going to the casino's, and creating memories with her family and friends. She was a member of the Newark Moose Lodge #499, Newark Eagles, and the VFW.

She is survived by a special person in her life for over 30 years, Terri Henderson; children, Denise (Eric) Nolan and Daniel J. (Stacey) Shepard; sister, Sandy (Steve) Greenlee; brother, Norman (Leah) Plopper; grandchildren, Danielle and Alex Prock, Collins and Alana Shepard; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Grace and Colton Roland; several nieces and nephews; her beloved Bars friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin (Penni) Plopper.

Judy will be cremated as per her wishes. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Newark Moose Lodge #499 at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Judy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
