Judith Elaine Snyder
A memorial service for Judith Elaine Snyder, 83, of Newark, OH, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Judy passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. She was born April 26, 1940, in Springfield, OH, to the late Ralph and Helen (Jenkins) Mustar.
Judy graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, OH and attended Ohio Wesleyan. Judy worked at Children's Hospital for many years for Dr. Stella Kontras and also worked at Bishop Hartley High School in Columbus in the office.
Judy was an avid football fan as a young person who attended many high school, college and professional football games with her father Ralph; who she lost shortly after marrying John. They were married for 57 years.
Judy was a former parishioner of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gahanna. In her free time, in addition to watching the Buckeyes, Judy loved watching Turner Classic movies and the Hallmark Channel, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and Face Timing with her great grandchild, Wyatt.
She is survived by her children, Matthew (Lynn) Snyder of Wylie, TX, Laura Snyder of Newark, Lisa Snyder of Newark, and Michelle (Eric) Barber of Newark; grandchildren, Lauren E. Snyder, Margaret A. Snyder, and Sarah C. Snyder, and great-grandson, Wyatt Nathaniel Snyder.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Snyder; grandson, Nathaniel J. Snyder, and brother, Terry Mustar.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
