Judy Gale (Hankins) Peters, age 83, of Utica, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at Country Court Nursing Center. She was born in Matoaka, WV on December 13, 1941, to the late Thomas and Clarice (Mundy) Hankins.
In her younger years Judy was the Band Director at North Ridge High School and substitute teacher for the Licking County School District. Judy worked for Diebold for 30 years. As a supply manager for Diebold, she had the opportunity to travel to several countries including China where she got to walk and the Great Wall. She was a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
She is survived by her son, Jesse E. (Elizabeth) Lobdell; stepson, Kenneth (Mandy) Peters; siblings, Thomas (Mary) Hankins, and April Hankins; grandchildren, Michelle (Kenny) Parks, Kennedy, Kassidy, Kaden Peters; special friend, Jodi Ramsey; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby Joe Hankins and Rita Glover.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Brucker and KIshler Funeral home, 985 N 21st, St. Newark, Ohio 43055. A 1:00 funeral will take place on Friday, the 24th, at Brucker and Kishler followed immediately by a graveside service at Newark Memorial Gardens, Minister Steve Williams officiating.
