Katherine M. Shoe

Katherine Shoe, 89 years old, of Newark, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 15th, 1936, in Newark, Ohio, Katherine was the beloved daughter of Mary and Steve Florian. Katherine graduated from Jacksontown High School in 1954 and married Jerry Shoe on September 18th, 1955, where they created a beautiful life full of love and laughter.

Katherine lived a life full of grace, kindness, and unwavering strength and has touched the lives of all who knew her. Katherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Katherine Shoe is survived by her children, Michael (Cindy) Shoe, Nina (William) O'Neill, Steven (Linda) Shoe, and Melane (Donald) Barlow. As well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Shoe, her grandson, Tyler Shoe, and her mother and father, Steve and Mary Florian.

A funeral service honoring Katherine's life will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Family will receive friends and family from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
