Kenneth “Wayne” King, 91 of Newark passed away on July 11, 2026 at Winsorwood Assisted Living in Coshocton. He was born on March 19, 1935 in Granville, OH to the late Lawrence and Doris (Tharp) King.

Wayne was a self-employed truck driver for L.E. King and Son Excavating. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He called square dancing since he was 14 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary M. (Bellman) King; sons, Mitchell (Kelly) King and Clayton (Christine) King and a daughter; grandchildren, Kasey (Emily) King, Aaron (Brea) King and Anna King; great-grandson, Barrett Mitchell King; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Hankinson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald King and Lyle King; and his beloved lion, Hercules.
