Lawrence W. "Chris" Anderson, age 70, of Newark, passed away peacefully at his residence. Chris was born on July 4, 1954, to the late Gordon and Dola (Green) Anderson, in Milton, FL.

After 26 years he retired from the Air Force while stationed at the Newark Air Force Base as a member of the PMEL Evaluation Team. After retirement, he went on to work for The Bionetics Corporation as a technical writer and editor. He was a member of the Newark American Legion Post 85.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Tracey; children, Paul Anderson, Melody (Leroy) Blystone; stepdaughter, Kendra Simpson; grandchildren, Marietta (Caitlin) Logan, Gary (Jayden Kenworthy) Martin, Leo and Lyla Friend; great grandchildren, Desmond, Calliope, Valerie; sisters, Sherrie (Bill) Rice, Stephanie (Dan) Sinclair; mother-in-law, Judy Idle; and his beloved cat, Charlie.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 2 – 5 PM at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where his service will be on Monday at 1 PM with Pastor Lee Crader officiating. A burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Licking County Humane Society.
