Lawrence Reid Kimball, 76, of East Hampton, CT, beloved husband of Dianne (Dayhuff) Kimball, passed away Friday Aug. 2, 2024, in hospice care at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born Dec. 27, 1947, in Akron, OH, to the late Ralph Hanscom and Mildred Jean (Reid) Kimball.

Lawrence grew up in Ohio, graduating from Ohio State University and University of Dayton with several degrees in aeronautical and mechanical engineering and business administration. He worked for Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Granville, OH, before moving to Meriden, Connecticut, in 1987 to join Sikorsky Aircraft. Lawrence further worked in CT for a joint venture, DOW-UT, and then joined Pratt & Whitney. Larry and Dianne retired to East Hampton, CT, 16 years ago. He loved to kayak their local lake and walk the beaches of Nantucket and Sanibel.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his son, Reid William Kimball and his wife, Faith, of MA; his daughter, Sara Graziosa, and her husband, John, of Wallingford; his brother, Dennis Robert Kimball and his wife, Carol, of Gahanna, OH; and his five grandchildren: William Dayhuff, Craig Patrick, Robert Lawrence Kimball, Lily Rose, and Violet Belle Graziosa.

A memorial service will be held at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
