Linda Jayne (Hunter) Robinette
Linda Jayne (Hunter) Robinette made her entrance into the world May 26, 1937, at her Grandparent's home in Utica, Ohio. The middle child of Charles William Hunter and Nellie (Gray) Lloyd. She joined her sister Charlotte (Revercomb) and was followed by her brother, Samuel Hunter, all precede her in death.
Linda was a graduate of Utica High School where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Bob (Robert C. Robinette). A woman with athletic prowess she participated in numerous sports and was a high school majorette. She often talked about spinning her baton for her grandfather who was quite impressed with her finesse.
Linda attended the Newark College of Commerce and began her working career at Schuler Engineering and Newark Galvanizing. After the birth of her children, she worked many years for the North Fork School system as a secretary, a job she enjoyed. She retired and missed her work so much she went back and worked several more years. Her job gave her a great sense of purpose, and she loved the community.
Left to mourn Linda's passing are her daughters, Amy (Ed) Alltop and Sandra (David) Arruda. Four grandchildren, Sarah (Shaun) Reed, Heather Clevenger, Joseph (Whitney) Alltop and Marcella (D.J.) Rowse. Linda is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Heston, Lane, Meadow, Willow, and Magnolia.
Linda passed in Newark, Ohio Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at the age of 88. The family would like to thank SharonBrooke Assisted Living and Ohio's Hospice of Central Ohio for the care given to Linda.
