Linda Marie Souter, 75 of Newark passed away on September 20, 2026 at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1951 in Newark, OH to the late Thomas Edward Johnson and Betty I. (Kidd) Jewell.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandma and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Michael Souter; son, Eddie (Angel) Cook; granddaughter, Laken Tucker; siblings, Dianna Miner, Cindy Williams, David (Lisa) Jewell, Debra (Robert) Isherwood, Maggie (Craig) Hildebrand, Tonya (Tony) Clay, Tracy Fortney, and Tammy Green; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Parker Cook; and brothers, Tom Johnson, Jr. and Albert Jewell.
