Linda N. Stought

A Celebration of Life for Linda N. Stought, 83, of Granville, OH, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Casey Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Linda passed away May 9, 2024, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born May 25, 1940, in Columbus, OH, to the late Doug and Faun (Blythe) Litton.

Linda is in a class all her own. She was such a go-getter. She had so many interests you could hardly keep up with her. She tended an organic garden and canned vegetables & fruit she grew. She crocheted and hand stitched quilts in exquisite patterns. Her and Paul would spend most evenings watching their favorite murder mysteries! And reading! She spent countless hours Reading every book she could get her hands on that involves nutrition and how to take care of your body for ultimate health. It was an obsession and filled the master bedroom as a library. She had a compassionate heart and the way she saw both sides of the story, she put herself in other people's shoes so to speak that their feelings felt validated and honored and understood. Her advice was always golden with encouragement and grace. She believed that you could have anything you wanted, all you had to do was make the decision to work for it.

She is survived her children, Mark Stought, David Stought, and Kathy Weisinger; grandson, Jarod Weisenger; brother, Rod (Paula) Litton; sister-in-law, Becky Gibson, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Stought.
