Lois F. Swonger, age 87, of Mount Vernon, passed away on October 4, 2025. Lois was born on September 12, 1938, in Newark, to the late Walter K. Eagle and Peggy Belle (Keim) Kruger.

She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ. Lois enjoyed taking walks, crossword puzzles, Bingo, gambling and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Swonger, Jeff (Tina) Swonger, Terri Maring, Lisa Berger; grandchildren, Jeremy, Victoria, Frank, Michael, Amanda, Shaun, Tara, Brody, Dylan, Alisha, Alexis; great grandchildren, Sebastian, Sophia, Caleb, Gwennan, Madelynn Penelope, June, Lijah, Jeriah, and Miyah; brother, Kenneth (Sue) Eagle; and brother-in-law; Albert Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Swonger; daughter, Treva Renee Swonger; great granddaughter, Taylor; brothers, Richard and Roy Kruger; sisters, Janet Shrivers, Janice Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Swonger.
