A memorial service for Lori Lynn Mye, 55, of Newark, OH, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Kristin Santiago officiating. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH.
Lori passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 27th, 2026, in Newark, Ohio. She was born in Buffalo, New York, to Sharon (Rowe) Mye and the late Douglas Mye.
Lori was a 1989 graduate of Newark High School and attended Walsh University then graduating from The Ohio State University. Lori spent most of her career working for Licking County Job and Family services, where she helped so many in the community find employment. For the past few years Lori worked her dream job at Newark High School as a Workforce Development Coordinator. Her classroom door was always open and so many students have been helped to figure out careers for after High School.
Lori absolutely loved her nephew, Trevor. She followed all his sporting events while he was in school. She could also be found in recent years watching Trevor coach his summer ball team. Another shining light in her eyes was the newest member of our family, her great nephew Crue. He will have a special angel looking over him from Heaven.
Lori was a selfless person and would do anything to help others out.
Some of her favorite activities were going to Amish Country Thrift store shopping with her mom Sharon and sister Lisa. So many memories were also made while camping in the Allegheny Mountains in New York will all her Family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Troy Coulter; nephew and wife, Trevor and Madisen Mye; great nephew, Crue Douglas Mye, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Lori is also survived by her great Pyrenees Stella and multiple Friends and co-workers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Licking County Humane Society.
