Lovona Poulton Parkhill
July 16, 1933 - January 14, 2024

A celebration of life for Lovona Poulton Parkhill, 90, of Newark, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark.  Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in the Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Parkhill passed away on January 14, 2024, at Licking Memorial Hospital.  Lovona was born July 16, 1933, in Granville, Ohio to the late Donald Earl (Poly) and Gladys (Hand) Poulton.  Mrs. Parkhill was happily married for 55 years to the late David "Keith" Parkhill.

Mrs. Parkhill retired from Ohio State Grange Insurance Company as Data Processing Manager. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Newark. She was a founding member of the Faith Presbyterian Church in Brooksville, Florida for 18 years while she and her husband resided in Brooksville, Florida.

Mrs. Parkhill is survived by her brother, Robert (Janet) Poulton of Heath; deceased mother-in-law, Ruth Parkhill, brothers-in-law, Tim Parkhill of Winchester, KY and Ray Parkhill of Newark; deceased sister-in-law, Patricia Wolever of Granville;  children,  Kellie Tanner of Newark, David R. (Kris Chaplin) Parkhill of Jacksontown, Kevin K. (Molly) Parkhill of Anderson, S.C., and Patrick (Christy) Parkhill of Hendersonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Chad (Leslie) Tanner of Fairfax Station, VA, Brandon Tanner deceased, Matthew D. (Jana) Parkhill, Charlotte, N.C., Brittany (Matt) Lasher, Waxhaw, N.C., and Tyler (Lauren) Parkhill, Hendersonville, NC.; great grandchildren Sydney & Dylan Tanner, Jacob Chiampo; Lucas, Logan, Alexandra, Ryan Lasher, and Tyson Parkhill, and several nieces and nephews.
