Lucinda "Cindy" M. Nemeth

A funeral service for Lucinda "Cindy" M. Nemeth, 77, of Newark, OH, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Lucinda passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at SharonBrooke Assisted Living. She was born June 28, 1948, in Newark, OH, to the late Willard E. Miller and Clara Ruth (Lescalleet) Romine.

She was a graduate of the Newark High School Class of 1966. She attended Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Newark. Cindy enjoyed many years of card club with friends. She and her husband, Jim, enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and more than 50 countries. Cindy retired in 2012 as an Information Technology Specialist for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Columbus, OH. Prior to that, she worked at Newark Air Force Base in an administrative position. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, Battered Women's Shelter, YWCA, Mental Health Association, and the Golf Outing for Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Noel) Nethers; granddaughters, Alexandrea "Alex" (Zach) Simmons, Elizabeth "Ellie" Nethers, and Jacqueline "Jacey" Nethers; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Marnie Breen) Fourman, and her children, Amy and Brandon Fourman; and stepsons, Tim Nemeth and Jeff Nemeth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Nemeth, and stepfather, Philmore Romine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in her memory.
