Madge Parsley

A funeral service for Madge Parsley, 95, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at Brucker and Kishler funeral home, with Bishop T.L. Kirk officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.

Madge passed away June 19, 2024, at Arlington Care Center. She was born July 21, 1928, in Sutton, KY, to the late Miles Charles and Annie Laurie (May) Thacker.

Madge worked for Winegarden Realtor as a market research analyst. She was a member of Christian Life Center and wrote a children's Sunday School manual.

She is survived by her son, Mark Parsley; sister, Blanch Wemlinger, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Zach, Buford, and Marvin Thacker; sisters, Nina Mae Gleckler, and Jo Ann Dotson; step-brothers, Harry, Arnett, and Dennis, and step-sisters, Hattie, Elsie, and Irene.
